Snail Mucin

Q: Is snail mucin actually made from snails?

Yes — it's the filtered secretion snails produce, most commonly farmed rather than wild-collected. The filtration process removes anything that would irritate skin, leaving the glycoproteins and hyaluronic-acid-like compounds behind.

Q: Can I use snail mucin with retinol or vitamin C?

Yes, it layers well with most actives and is generally considered soothing rather than reactive, which is why it's often recommended alongside stronger ingredients rather than instead of them.

Q: How long before I see a difference in texture or scarring?

Most people notice a hydration difference within a couple of weeks, with texture and scar-fading effects building over four to eight weeks of consistent use.
